#3 -Peppers, Ready to consume some sunlight!

March 13, 2023

Last week the seeds cracked and you could only see a little white root sticking out on a few if you looked really closely. After a week back up on top of the fridge it seems that the sprouts have been busy. Since many of the plants now have some leaves I’m going to move them into some indirect sunlight in my office. At this point everything is running on a quarter inch of clean tap water with no additional nutrients.

I have another tray of peppers that I started at the same time that are from the genetics “California Wonder” that grew outstanding crops last year. They seem to be about a week behind the tray pictured below. I’m glad that I didn’t wait until march before planting this year.

“Long pepper blend” are the nine cubes on the left hand side. “Carnival blend” on the right. They both seem to be progressing at a similar rate.
