I’m growing outdoors so naturally there are bound to be some other lifeforms that will need to be dealt with.
Last year I had a problem with some sort of spotting ailment. I think it might have been fungal based on my limited research. The pattern was pretty clear.
First you would see brown spotting on the leaves near the bottom of the plant. The next day you might notice a few more spots but everything else is cool. 3 days later the leave is turning yellow and you notice spots on nearby leaves. Rats, it spreads.
Last year this all started mid august and I just neglected it. In a few weeks it took 70 percent of my leaves but I still had a really good harvest.
A week or so ago I noticed similar spots to last year and immediately started removing those leaves and treating them like contagious cooties. Get them off the plant and out of the garden, dont touch any healthy plants after a spotted one without hand sanitizer. I also bought a fungicide spray that I shot on any plant that showed signs of spotting. So far this technique has kept things in check and there really havent been any leaves yellowing.
